Motorist injured in M4 ‘rollover’

A MOTORIST was injured when his car overturned on the M4 in uMhlanga this afternoon.

When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene they found the vehicle lying in the centre median.

“Upon assessment of the male driver, believed to be in his thirties, paramedics found that the man sustained serious injuries during the rollover accident,” said Santi Steinmann, Netcare 911 media liaison officer.

The motorist was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital, she added.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this stage, and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
