Authorities track house-robber via stolen tablet

One suspect was arrested after he was tracked to a property in KawMashu with the assistance of the the Durban Flying Squad.

ANOTHER successful arrest was made by a local security company after they tracked a suspects using a stolen tablet.

One suspect was arrested after he was tracked to a property in KwaMashu with the assistance of the Durban Flying Squad, said Marshall Security’s Tyron Powel.

“The property was found in the suspect’s possession and was positively identified by the complainant as their property,” he said.

The stolen property was reportedly snatched during a brazen housebreaking on Harrison Drive in Glen Hills at 8pm last night.

According to eyewitnesses three or four men ransacked the property after they used a crowbar to unhinge the gate as well as the front door.

The suspect and the property were transported to SAP Greenwood Park where the suspect was detained and property handed in.
