Fashion show and concert ahead of Durban July
Each designer will showcase their work to the public for the first time at the Vodacom Durban July Preview Fashion Show.
IT’S that time of year again when Gateway Theatre of Shopping hosts the Vodacom Durban July Preview Fashion Show. This year marks the seventh year of the show, and traditionally it takes place a day before the actual Vodacom Durban July, which will be held this year on 4 July.
The annual horse-racing event, held at Greyville Racecourse in Durban, sees South Africa’s best thoroughbreds race for R3.5-million. The event attracts more than 50 000 people, who come ‘dressed to the nines’.
This year’s theme is ‘The Captain’s Table’. The confirmed designers for this year’s invited designer showcase are Craig Jacobs (Fundudzi), Terrence Bray, Colleen Eitzen, Brenda Quin (Diva), Sibu Msimang, Dale McCarthy & Jane Wolff (McCarthy & Wolff Designs), Hangwani Nengovhela (Rubicon) and Haroun Hansrot.
Each designer will showcase their work to the public for the first time at the Vodacom Durban July Preview Fashion Show at Gateway.
Once the fashion show is done the concert will start, which will see the likes of Goodluck, Shortstraw, Ryan the DJ and Protoculture performing.
