Intruder assaults Sunningdale resident
After assaulting and robbing the woman the suspect is said to have disappeared into the servitude.
A WOMAN was assaulted in her home on Sugarfarm Trail Road in Sunningdale yesterday afternoon, after an unknown suspect attacked.
It is believed that the man gained entry through an open window, said Haden Searles, chairman of the Durban North-Umhlanga Community Police Forum.
“Reports have also alleged that the intruder slapped the victim, before fleeing with jewellery and cash,” he said.
Andre Hattingh, chairman of the Sunningdale Home Owners’ Association, said he had received information that the suspect exited the property over the back wall and disappeared into the servitude.
