Two held up in La Lucia robbery

A LA Lucia home owner and domestic worker escaped an armed robbery unscathed after four armed men burst into the house on Anil Road less than an hour ago.

Haden Searles, of Durban North Umhlanga CPF, confirmed that the armed men held the home-owner and domestic worker at gunpoint after breaking into the property.

Social media reports claimed that the men stole various valuables from the property before fleeing the scene, but Searles was unable to confirm whether anything was stolen during the incident.

“The information is still fresh, but it seems that the suspects locked the home-owner and domestic worker in the bathroom before looting the property,” he said.
