Three arrested after Sunningdale robbery

Sunningdale resident's scream for help scares away three robbers.

A SUNNINGDALE resident was grabbed in a chokehold by three suspects who had broken into her home in Meadow Lane, Sunningdale this morning. The incident occurred at about 4am.  According to Marhsall Security’s Tyron Powell, the men were only able to snatch an iPhone before the terrified resident screamed for her husband.

“One of the men held her around the neck while the other two were looking for items to steal. She managed to scream to her husband for help and the trio panicked, snatched up an iPhone and fled.

“The suspects were tracked to a bridge on the R102 crossing over into Mount Moriah. We arrested the trio and they were found in possession of the stolen phone,” Powell said.
