WIN: The Coloured Comedy Festival tickets at Sibaya

Enter now for an opportunity to win tickets to The Coloured Comedy Festival that is on for two days only at Sibaya.

COMEDY fans must brace for giant-sized comedy at Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom in October when some of the country’s sought-after comedians collaborate for The Coloured Comedy Festival.

On the bill for the show at iZulu Theatre on the 11 and 12 of October are Jason Goliath, Richelieu B, Nicholas Goliath, Donovan Goliath and Alfred Adriaan. The ensemble of funny men will tackle a wide range of issues on stage, from Jacob Zuma’s inability to avoid controversy to Bafana Bafana’s inability to win. Comics will also go “grass roots” and will narrate witty coloured tales from exotic lands like Wentworth, Sydenham and Eldorado Park.

There will also be a coloured survival guide offering tips on coping with a recession, dating coloured women and how not to get stabbed in the Cape Flats. For the Joburg-based Richelieu, The Coloured Comedy Festival is somewhat of the homecoming. Richelieu has cemented himself on the Gauteng comedy circuit performing with the country’s leading acts.

Donovan David Goliath’s bedtime stories about growing up in the Transkei as a coloured boy who looks white but speaks fluent Xhosa are more funny than scary. In fact, it’s this life experience that launched him into comedy in the first place. Nicholas Xavier Goliath’s straight-forward outlook on life motivates his comedy – based on true stories and strange yet funny observations from his daily life. He is already taking the South Africa by storm and is the youngest member of the Goliath pack.

Alfred Adrian is a small town boy with a colourful family background who moved to the big city. He is a well-rounded comedian with a friendly disposition and with experience as a corporate MC for multi-nationals. He is a regular performer in the Joburg comedy scene.

The show takes place at 8pm on Saturday, 11 October, and at 3pm on Sunday the 12 October. Tickets cost R120 per person from Computicket, Shoprite/Checkers or at the Sibaya Box Office.
