Motorist spots man masturbating in public
A woman spotted a man mastrubating in full view of traffic in Riverside Road.
A MOTORIST got more than she bargained for on Wednesday 2 October when she was accosted by a man masturbating in public. When driving home, with her son in the car, she spotted a man masturbating in clear view on the side of the road.
As she drove past, he turned to stare directly at her, fully exposed himself and began masturbating. The woman said she, on a few occasions prior to this, has seen this particular man, who wears a navy blue dry mac, on the off-ramp of the M4 onto Riverside Road.
She said he stands facing the bushes, but looks back over his shoulder at the traffic. Thinking his behaviour was a little unusual, she presumed he was dealing drugs, as he always tried to hide his face, but it was not until she blatantly saw him last week that she realised what he was doing.
Greenwood Park SAPS’ communication officer, Lt Elvis Naidoo, urged residents to report any public indecency to police immediately.
Lt Naidoo said he would send officers to where the man was spotted, adding if they find him he will be arrested for public indecency.
“We will also insure that our crime prevention officers patrol the area more regularly,” he added. Contact the station on 031 571 6521 to report public indecency.
From my apartment, besides the prostitutes, men are seen naked – washing themselves and their clothes. Occasionally one sees them in a sex act which is obviously what this lady witnessed. Our police are stretched so they cannot respond to every call but random raids would be appreciated. We are trying to promote the Walking / Cycle path as a tourist attraction and this is detrimental.
