An advanced AI tripwire system triggered an alert at business premises on Cypress Drive, belonging  to a client of Marshall Security.

“Armed response officers were dispatched immediately, and detailed descriptions of the suspect’s whereabouts and attire were continuously relayed to the response teams, ensuring a coordinated and efficient approach,” said Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.

When the teams arrived at the premises, the suspect attempted to flee on foot but was swiftly apprehended.

“Further investigation revealed the suspect had damaged the property’s fence line to gain access and had stolen several tools left outside the business,” he added.

Greenwood Park SAPS was contacted, arrived at the scene and took the suspect into custody for further investigation and processing after the business owner confirmed he would be pressing charges.
