“With our officers in pursuit, a high-speed chase occurred until the suspects crashed their vehicle on Quarry Road East in the Quarry Heights area. Three suspects involved in the robbery were arrested and an unlicensed firearm was recovered on scene. Subsequent investigations by our team have revealed that an additional two suspects were left behind at the scene of the initial house robbery.

“Through the efforts of our officer, a fourth suspect was successfully apprehended. At present, only one suspect remains at large. A coordinated search operation involving Marshall Security and the Greenwood Park SAPS was conducted, however, the suspect is still at large,” he said.

The incident follows two other house robberies in the Avoca and Avoca Hills area with both resulting in shootings in the last five days.
