New concept store in uMhlanga aims to feed children in need by this weekend

The aim is to get enough people to cycle for a minute or more, in order to feed 10 000 children in the province.

PROVIDING nutritious meals and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are some of the top priorities for leading health and wellness brand, FUTURELIFE.

This was evident at the opening of its new, first-of-its-kind concept store, at Oceans Mall on June 28.

“We are incredibly proud to introduce our revolutionary store concept to the South African market. This store is a testament to our commitment to health and wellness, and we’re really excited to offer customers an immersive and holistic experience,” said Mark Bunn, director of FUTURELIFE.

In addition to offering customers health assessments, the brand also launched its ‘Ride to Feed a Child in Need’ initiative which aims to fill 10 000 little tummies across KwaZulu-Natal by Sunday.

Social media influencer Kajal Maharaj hops on the bike to cycle to feed children in need.

Bunn said FUTURELIFE has partnered with Dis-chem Foundation to address the critical issue of childhood hunger.

“Through this partnership, FUTURELIFE commits to serving 2.4 million nutritional meals each year. To encourage public participation in this noble cause and help us celebrate the opening of our first store, we would like to invite all those in and around the greater Durban and Umhlanga areas to join the celebration by visiting the store at the Oceans Mall this coming weekend. For every minute spent cycling on the bike bar, 12 children in need will receive a nourishing meal. The goal is to reach 10 000 meals by Sunday,” he said.
