Man arrested in Malacca Road with stolen property

The suspect was handed over to the Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing and will be charged for theft.

A REPEAT offender was arrested in Glen Hills on Thursday morning, with stolen goods in his possession.

“Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received reports from a client that a male was spotted walking down Ryde Place carrying two step ladders,” said Tyron Powell, spokesperson for Marshall Security.

The suspect was spotted in Malacca Road by armed response officers who immediately recognised him as he had been arrested by the team numerous times.

“Our reaction officer recalled that another client in the area had previously reported that they had two stepladders stolen recently. The client was contacted and confirmed the ladders were theirs and decided to open a case,” said Powell.
