‘Fence-hopper’ arrested in Durban North

He had stolen a braai stand and a gardening spade from a client’s property on Glenmore Crescent.

A SUSPECT, believed to be involved in numerous house burglaries in Durban North over the last week, was finally arrested on Saturday.

Marshall Security responded to the scene on Glenmore Crescent in the Durban North area after receiving many panic button alerts.

“The suspect was seen trespassing and fence-hopping in the area. Officers were immediately dispatched and arrived on scene within minutes,” said Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.

The suspect was eventually found and apprehended on another property on Glenmore Crescent, together with community members. He had stolen a braai stand and a gardening spade from a client’s property on Glenmore Crescent.

The Durban North SAPS were contacted and arrived on scene a short while later and transported the suspect to the Durban North SAPS for further processing and investigations.
