Durban North Night Run a great success

The residents ran to raise money for plants that will beautify a new entrance sign for the Durban North suburb.

A BEVY of North Durbanites and people from surrounding areas came out in support of the Night Run which took place on Friday, November 18.

The run took place at the Crusaders Sports Field to raise funds towards a community cause.

Helen Koch of Enviro Fixers said the Night Run is a good initiative to get the community together.

“We tried to do it pre-Covid, but it was postponed, so we’re trying to re-ignite it. It’s a good community run, getting the community together, raising funds for community projects. Any money that is raised tonight will be for the entrance sign for Durban North.”

“It’s a joint project with the Parks Department Business and Enviro Fixers. We’re raising money for plants to beautify a new entrance sign for the suburb of Durban North.

“It’s something everyone will benefit from – it shows visitors to Durban North that we’re proud of our suburb and we are trying to uplift it. I’m also just so grateful for the community for coming out on a Friday night to support us.”

The run was divided into two categories, namely, the 5km and the 10km.
