Hurdles slow down Kerbside Recycling Project

Northglen News has received several calls and emails from residents regarding the matter and one of them, Ian Lloyd, says he has stopped waiting for the eThekwini Municipality to deliver bags and collect them.
“I use the regular black bags and take them to the recycling company in Riverside. I can’t let the recycling accumulate,” he said.
eThekwini Municipality’s spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela said the City remains committed to the Kerbside Recycling Project.
“The project has had some hurdles in the distribution and collection in some parts of the City, which have since been resolved and the backlog is being attended to.”
