Athlone Bridge to undergo essential maintenance

The public is urged to exercise caution when travelling in the vicinity.

THE Athlone Bridge in Durban will undergo essential maintenance from until 15 June.

This was announced by eThekwini Municipality’s Acting Head of Communications, Mandla Nsele.

According to Nsele, the Road Provisions Department will upgrade the traffic barriers and concrete sidewalks as part of the maintenance project.

“As a result of this work, the north and south bound left hand lanes only will be closed to traffic. The city appeals to the public to exercise caution and patience when travelling in the vicinity,” said Nsele.
