Normal operating hours resume at Durban garden refuse sites

Residents are advised to comply with all Covid-19 protocols and adhere to onsite instructions.

THE City’s Cleansing and Solid Waste Unit (CSW) has advised eThekwini residents that the garden refuse sites have reverted to their normal working hours from yesterday, (Monday, 8 February).

The  normal operational hours for the refuse sites are from 7am to 5pm daily.

The municipality said residents visiting all Cleansing and Solid Waste Unit facilities are required to comply with all Covid-19 protocols and adhere to onsite instructions.

“No mask – No entry!

“All personal hygiene and sanitary products must be double bagged without compressing the waste. In addition, waste generated from households with residents in isolation or quarantine must also be double bagged and left out on the verge on normal collection day to protect CSW employees who are handling the waste,” advised the City.
