First 2021 #CleanBlueLagoon clean-up cancelled

The organisers say they hope to start with their monthly clean-ups in February.

THE first #CleanBlueLagoon clean-up scheduled for Saturday, 16 January has been cancelled.

Organisers of the clean-ups, Janet Simpkins and Dominic Naidoo made the announcement on the group’s Facebook page.

“The clean-ups normally coincide with the Beachwood Mangroves Nature Reserve’s open day which is the third Saturday of every month. Sadly we are unable to host our monthly clean-up this month as the open day was cancelled. We have already set out our dates for February and the rest of the year. I encourage volunteers keen on joining us for the clean-ups to check out our Facebook page as we update it regularly,” Simpkins said.
