Leticia Visser, a resident on Marion Avenue, said she heard the sound of a car speeding down the road and the sound of sirens soon after.

“It sounded as though one shot was fired but I can’t confirm because I wasn’t outside yet. It was definitely a terrible speed. I could hear the difference from the sound of a normal car. I jumped up immediately when I heard it,” she said.
