Covid-19: Campaign calls learners to ‘Play their Part’

Grade 11 and 12 learners will participate in the online campaign by posting on Facebook how they have been playing their part during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

AS South Africa celebrates youth month, Brand South Africa (BSA) is launching a virtual version of their empowerment  campaign, Play Your Part.

The campaign, now in its eight year, was launched in KwaZulu-Natal with Grade 11 and 12 learners from four high schools, including JL Dube and Nqabakazulu High School in KwaMashu.

“Students have it in their potential to be change agents for a better South Africa, they just need people to believe in them, encourage and show them the path,” said Brand South Africa General Manager of Marketing, Sithembile Ntombela.

Grade 11 and 12 learners will participate in the online campaign by posting on Facebook how they have been playing their part during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

“The Covid-19 has left our learners feeling anxious and distressed, we are excited to be a part of the Brand South Africa initiative so that we too can play our part,”said Sipho Magwaza, JL Dube High School principal.

Play your Part is run in partnership with eThekwini Municipality and the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality.
