eThekwini Municipality opens revenue service centres

Customers are urged to make use of all remote services available for payments.

THE eThekwini Municipality will make more revenue services available to customers around the city following the opening of its banking hall at the Florence Mkhize Building (FMB) on Wednesday, 13 May.

Several centres will open today, including Banking Hall in Phoenix and Sizakala Centre in Pinetown.

In a statement they said they would automatically renew rebates for the 2020/2021 year for senior citizens, the medically boarded, child headed household and those with disability grantees.

Acting Head of Communications for the eThekwini Municipality, Mandla Nsele, said more customer centres had been readied according to Covid-19 regulations to safeguard both staff and customer safety.

“Revenue services are expected to resume at more centres during the course of next week and customers will be informed through the City’s social media platforms,” said Nsele.

Customers are urged to make use of all remote services available for payments and queries to reduce the risks for both staff and public, said Nsele.

“The municipality urges those needing to visit the offices to please adhere to the rules of social distancing, wearing a face mask and sanitising your hands,” he added.
