“According to our reports the man was hijacked by unknown suspects earlier in the day at approximately 9.30am, while he was driving in the Springfield Park area. The suspects allegedly abducted the man, taking him to an unknown location, where they assaulted him and poured boiling water over his body, demanding to know where he keeps his money and where he resides.

“The men then made their way to the victim’s home robbing him of an undisclosed amount of money, before fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim sustained second-degree burn wounds to twenty percent of his body surface area and was attended to by Crisis Medical Emergency Care Practitioners, before being taken to a nearby hospital for further immediate care,” he said.
