Search continues for businessman last seen in uMhlanga

The businessman from Pretoria has been missing since Monday, 20 January.

DURBAN North SAPS have appealed to the public for their help in identifying the whereabouts of a Pretoria businessman who has been missing since last Monday.

Sandile Gladman Mini was in uMhlanga on a business trip and went for a walk on the promenade but never returned to a cottage he was staying at with a work colleague.

According to Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North station, Mini went for a walk at 11.30am (20 January) on the uMhlanga promenade and was due back at the cottage for a 1pm meeting which he never returned for.

“Concerned, his work colleague asked various hospitals around the area if someone matching Mini’s description had been admitted but could not find him. Mini had left his cell phone back at the cottage so his colleague couldn’t even phone him.

“He then contacted the SAPS and opened a missing persons case. Mini speaks English, Xhosa and Zulu and is around 1.7 metres in height. We are appealing to the public to contact the station should they have any information,” Deokaran said.

If you have any information that could assist the SAPS, contact Detective Jerry Fourie on 079 696 3663.
