THERE has been a shootout at Bridge City Mall in KwaMashu.
While police could not confirm the incident as yet, news of the shootout has flooded social media.
In a statement on Facebook, KZN VIP Protection said one security guard was shot and is in a critical condition.
They added that another patient has been stabilised on scene and airlifted to hospital.

Two suspects trying to rob the busy mall situated in the north of the city will killed.
It’s believed there were seven suspects who arrived at the busy shopping centre in a white Toyota Quantam.
According to KZN VIP Protection Services, a bystander has sustained moderate injuries after she was trampled near the scene when patrons began dispersing the area. They said KZN VIP Protection medics were attending to the patient.
