Catch Nasty C and DJ Zinhle in Durban this weekend

The Amaphiko Festival is open to the public and free of charge.

THE week-long Red Bull Amaphiko Academy is in full swing having started last Saturday.

Its aim, according to organisers, is to offer crucial support to grass-roots social entrepreneurs by providing them with mentorship, coaching and assistance to unlock various business opportunities.

It is an eight-day residential camp that forms the beginning of an 18-month mentorship programme to enable people with social impact initiatives, projects and businesses.

A total of 14 social entrepreneurs were selected to be part of the this fourth academy based on their work across a range of categories that include; education, environmental, health and wellness, employment and sustainability.

The academy culminates with the Amaphiko Festival, which is open to the public and free of charge and will be held on Saturday, 22 June at the KZN Music House situated at 2 Derby Street, Greyville.

The host will be popular South African actress, Hlubi Mboya with performances by DJ Zinhle and Nasty C.

What’s more, there will be pop up entertainment which includes, capoeira, contemporary dance, break dancing, Zulu dancing as well as performances by soccer trickster, Chris Njokwane.
