Armed suspects storm Pembroke Road home

AK47-wielding gunmen storm Durban North home.

HOME owners were ambushed  at gunpoint as they arrived at their Pembroke Road residence at approximately 2:15 pm today. Three suspects demanded cell phones, jewelry and money at gunpoint and assaulted an elderly male, before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Spokesperson for Marshall Security, Kyle Van Reenen said  they responded to the scene after receiving a panic alert.

“Further information revealed that as the homeowners where arriving at their residential complex, they were followed in by armed suspects. Three men armed with hand guns confronted them whilst a fourth, armed with an AK47 assault rifle, stood guard at the gate,” said Van Reenen.

The victims were attended to by Crisis Medical Paramedics and the scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
