Charlize Theron makes a return to the big screen with her latest movie, Long Shot.

What’s new at the movies? 

One of Disney’s most beloved animated classics, Aladdin, has been brought to life for a whole new generation of movie fans this weekend together with our golden girl in Hollywood, Charlize Theron who is back on Nu Metro screens alongside irreverent funny-man Seth Rogen with this year’s coolest romantic comedy. Long Shot is tailor-made for date-nights – a hilarious modern fairy-tale of ‘opposites attract’, almost like a reversed Pretty Woman with lots of added comedy, fun and epic adventures in love.

ALADDIN (7-9 PG)
A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, Aladdin is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin (Mena Massoud), the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott) and the Genie (Will Smith) who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah. The film was shot on practical stages in London and on location amidst the stunning desert vistas of Jordan. Eight-time Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Oscar-winning lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice.

LONG SHOT (16 DLPS)
Charlotte Field (Charlize Theron) is one of the most influential women in the world. Smart, sophisticated, and accomplished, she’s a powerhouse diplomat with a talent for…well, mostly everything. Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen) is a gifted and free-spirited journalist with an affinity for trouble. The two have nothing in common, except that she was his babysitter and first crush. When Fred unexpectedly reconnects with Charlotte, he charms her with his self-deprecating humour and his memories of her youthful idealism. As she prepares to make a run for the Presidency, Charlotte impulsively hires Fred as her speechwriter, much to the dismay of her trusted advisors.

A fish out of water on Charlotte’s elite team, Fred is unprepared for her glamorous lifestyle in the limelight. However, sparks fly as their unmistakable chemistry leads to a round-the-world romance and a series of unexpected and dangerous incidents.
