Northwood Crusaders hockey season begins

Going into this season, the club continues to operate from Northwood School astroturf and offers both senior and junior players the chance to get involved.

NORTHWOOD Crusaders Hockey Club is once again buzzing with excitement as the much anticipated outdoor season fast approaches. The club continues to grow in numbers and stature after a hugely successful 2018 season with the men’s first team leading the way with an impressive second place finish in the local premier league.

Going into this season, the club continues to operate from Northwood School astroturf and offers both senior and junior players the chance to get involved. The club now boasts four senior men’s teams and five senior ladies teams.
Juniors hockey, which caters for U7 up to the U13 age groups, takes place on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday evening between 5pm and 7.30pm.

Senior hockey, which is for U14 upwards, train during the week with men on a Wednesday and ladies on a Thursday evening, both between 6pm and 8.30pm.

The ladies’ matches are usually held on Saturday afternoons and the men’s on Sundays.

Trials for all squads will take place from April with all practices and matches beginning in May.
