Get ready for Tour Durban

The aQuellé Tour Durban 100km race is a Cape Town Cycle Tour Seeding event.

THE 2019 edition of the aQuellé Tour Durban presented by Bridge Fund Managers will take place on Sunday, 28 April, based at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The event will once again offer three events – a 100km classic, a 55km cyclocross race and a 45km Fun Ride, which will host the hand cycle class race, all enjoying the safety of full road closure throughout.

The aQuellé Tour Durban 100km race is a Cape Town Cycle Tour Seeding event and the fast, but challenging route which includes a 12km climb up the M7 to Pinetown, gives participants a good opportunity to secure their seeding for the 2020 Cape Town event.

The popular cyclocross event that was introduced in 2013 gives mountain bikers the chance to enjoy the best of the coastal route on the M4 from Durban to just past Umhlanga before tackling a 15km off road section and then joining back up with the 45km route on the way back to Durban.

The 45km Fun Ride is always very well supported and attracts riders of all ages and abilities, riding a wide assortment of bikes, to enjoy the very manageable out-and-back coastal route along the M4.

The event, organised for hosts Club Cappuccino donates its proceeds to the Domino Foundation that is involved in local communities between Durban North and Phoenix and Amaoti providing soup kitchens, crèches, school intervention, baby home, counselling and business initiatives.
