LISTEN-Josh swims the extra mile for toy campaign
The Toy Story campaign provides joy by bringing toys to thousands of children in government hospitals, children's home and crèches across KwaZulu-Natal.
MORE than 800 toys were donated to help support Toys R Us/Babies R Us and East Coast Radio’s Toy Story campaign last week as Northlands Primary School learner, Josh Crocker and friends swam 32 laps of his school’s pool all in the name of charity.

Crocker was joined by learners from Northwood School, Clifton College and Durban Prep High School as well as East Coast Radio’s breakfast team DJ Darren Maule who supported the event.
The ‘entrance fee’ for those attending was a new toy.
“I’m very proud of everyone who helped out and grateful to Darren (Maule) as he wasn’t feeling the best but still competed. Overall I think we’ve managed to donate more toys than last year which is just fantastic and everything I wanted from the event,” the Grade 7 learner said.
