UMHLANGA Rocks Drive was the scene of a horrific crash last night that claimed the lives of two people. According to attending emergency personell, a Mazda hatchback vehicle crashed before bursting into flames.
Crisis Medical paramedics said the vehicle was traveling in a northerly direction when it overturned at the Armstrong Avenue traffic circle.
“Two adult occupants of the vehicle sustained fatal burn wounds and were declared deceased on arrival by paramedics,” said Crisis Medical spokesperson Kyle van Reenen.

He added that the cause of the crash is still being investigated by the relevant authorities.
“At this stage the cause of the incident is unknown and will form subject of a South African Police Services investigation,” he added.
