Gang robs Prestondale home

The suspects tied up the homeowner during the home invasion.

A GANG of four suspects robbed a home on Maple Close in Prestondale on Saturday night. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred at about 10pm.

“The gang stormed their way into the home and accosted the homeowner and his family. The homeowner said he could not tell if the suspects had firearms, however the suspects threatened to shoot them before tying them up. They made off with a TV, cell phones, jewellery and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken,” he said.

A case of robbery has been opened at the Durban North SAPS.
