DURBAN North SAPS are continuing their search for 20-year-old Siam Lee who was last seen on Thursday, 4 January on Margaret Maytom Avenue. According to Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the station, detectives, local organisations, reservists and members of the Durban North/Umhlanga CPF have been involved in search operations.
“We have been following several leads in the case and we are working on any information given to us. Haden Searles, chairman of the CPF and several of our reservists have also followed up on leads and been physically searching for Siam.
On Sunday, Siam’s mother and her friend, Sue Foster put up an emotional video appealing for any information to help her find Siam.

Searles, who spoke to the Northglen News earlier, said rumours that police were doing nothing to find the local resident were untrue.
“Several people from Durban to Johannesburg have been out searching for Siam. Reservists acting on information searched for Siam until today. There have been rumours swirling on social media and I would urge residents to ignore them. Police are doing everything they can and we understand the pain of her mother who is desperate to find her child and we want to find her and bring her home. Every shred of information that comes through we treat with the utmost importance.
Searles also praised Mobi Claw for their involvement in attempting to track down Siam.
