City announces temporary beach closures

The eThekwini Municipality moves quickly with sand replenishment operations at several beaches ahead of a busy festive season.

THE eThekwini Municipality has announced that parts of Suncoast Beach, Bay of Plenty and Dairy Beach will remain closed for sand replenishment operations.

The replenishment operations come after several beaches were damaged by the storm that wreaked havoc in Durban recently. It damaged concrete covers along the walkways, filled the promenades with sand and littered the beaches with debris.
