Spot reunited with his family

The dog had been missing for three days following an armed robbery at his owner's Prestondale home.

THE search for the missing Yorkshire Terrier ended this afternoon when he was reunited with his owner, Lorna Sinclair. Spot was missing since Monday when armed men stormed Sinclair’s Prestondale home.

On Tuesday, Sinclair could not contain her tears when she spoke to the Northglen News about her missing dog. Today however, she was over the moon after the dog was found at a house in the neighbourhood.

A distraught Sinclair said her family had been left traumatised following their incident.
Their trauma was made worse after it was discovered that one of Sinclair’s five dogs, a male Yorkshire Terrrier had gone missing.

The family, including Sinclair’s elderly parents and their domestic worker were also left traumatised following the incident. The house was ransacked in the attack and a few of the stolen items and the family’s VW Polo was recovered in KwaMashu on the same day.

The neighbours said they found Spot in the corner of their garden. The dog had dug a tiny hole for himself behind a small bush where he stayed for three days.

Sinclair added: “The whole community assisted in the search as well as Marshall and the fire department. People can be so incredibly kind.”
