LISTEN-Residents tackle Mangroves beach clean-up
Glenhills resident Dale Johnson said he was pleased with the number of youngsters who helped out in Saturday's clean-up.
RESIDENTS showed up in their numbers to support Saturday’s #CleanBlueLagoon clean-up where a whopping 320 bags of rubbish was collected. Founder of the initiative, Dale Johnson, said he was thrilled that so many youngsters got involved.
Saturdays clean-up took on added significance because of the award winning campaign, Plastic Free July. The campaign urges the public to refrain from using ‘single-use plastics’, while also challenging people to seek alternatives to the non-biodegradable products and packaging.
