Arnold rescues 3 black mambas from one home

Jason Arnold captured three mambas on the same property on three different days this week.

SUNNINGDALE resident, Jason Arnold has captured and rescued hundreds of venomous snakes in his 20-year career, but it’s a rare occurrence for the local snake man to be called out to the same homestead three days in a row. That’s exactly what happened this week after Arnold was called to a home in Waterloo where he removed, not one, but three large black mambas on three different days.

What’s more, the 39-year-0ld believes there is another deadly mamba on the same property. He was accompanied by local resident, Craig Adendorff who captured the rescues on camera.

“It’s mamba mating season and it seems a whole bunch of males locked in on a female black mamba which I’m yet to capture. The female releases a scent which males pick up and follow. They have all been around 2.3 metres and 2.5 metres long. I’m glad the family gave me a call to capture the snakes which were found metres from their home. They will all be tagged and relocated,” he said.

The third mamba was captured underneath some rockery.
