Man charged with assault after road rage incident

Police warn motorists against driving aggressively and to beware of other aggressive drivers.

AN accident scene on the N2 near the Sibaya off-ramp turned ugly on Saturday evening. This after a man was charged with assault in an apparent road rage incident. According to Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS, the incident unfolded at about 8pm.

“It’s alleged, the complainant, who was driving on the N2 sideswiped the driver in front of him. The men then got into a verbal altercation which turned violent. The complainant was assaulted in the incident. A case has been opened at the station,” he said.

Deokaran warned motorists against driving aggressively and to beware of other aggressive drivers.
