Another street name misspelt

The City has yet to rectify the mistake.

WARD 110 councillor Pete Graham, has been left confused and amused by what appears to be a spelling error with a road in Red Hill. Malacca Road which runs behind the Redhill cemetery was incorrectly labeled “Malcca Road”.

It is unknown when the sign was changed, but Graham brought the matter to the attention of the Northglen News. The sign at the Rinaldo Road, Malacca Road intersection is correct however this sign, at the Chris Hani (North Coast Road) intersection is incorrect.

Last year, several residents took to social media to have a laugh at the City’s expense over the Addison Drive gaffe. The road was incorrectly named ‘Eddison Drive’. This isn’t the first time the City has got the names wrong, in 2015 contractors working on the N2 interchange had painted the road markings backwards.

Graham said he would report the mistake to the City and hoped it would soon be rectified.
