Local stakeholders join forces to fight crime

The new security hut will be manned by private security and coordinated by CPF Sub Forum 2.

GREENWOOD Park South African Police Services and NCP Alcohols joined forces to help fight crime in the Greenwood Park area. The locally-based company along with the Greenwood Park station recently handed over a security hut to Sub Forum 2 of the Greenwood Park Community Policing Forum.

In a press statement, the station commander, Colonel M.I. Mngadi thanked NCP Alcohols for their sponsorship of the hut and for the company’s continuous and unwavering support when it comes to crime  prevention and social crime prevention initiatives in the Greenwood Park policing district.

The station’s spokesperson, W/O Leon Audh said the hut will be manned by private security and coordinated by the Sub Forum 2 CPF. “We have installed the security hut in Avoca Road for its high visibility. This road in particular has been identified as a hot spot and is a frequently used exit route for criminals,” W/O Audh said.
