Two injured after Umhlanga Rocks Drive crash

One of the vehicles lost a rear wheel in the crash.

TWO people were injured after two vehicles collided at the Umhlanga Rocks Drive and Somerset Drive intersection just after midday on Sunday. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, a driver and passenger of one of the vehicles was injured in the accident.

One of the vehicles also lost a rear wheel in the accident.

“The vehicles collided at high speed at the intersection. The driver and a passenger in their 30s sustained moderate to minor injuries in the crash. Netcare 911 attended to the patients before transporting them through to Umhlanga Hospital. The exact details and cause of the accident is unknown at this stage,” he said.

In January, the Jaws of Life had to be used to free an injured driver after a crash on Umhlanga Rocks Drive.
