Decomposed body found on N2 near Sunningdale

It's believed the incident may be a hit-and-run.

THE decomposed body of a man in his 30s was discovered by police and local security on the N2 near Sunningdale just after midday today. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, motorists spotted the bloated body on the centre median. He added the body may have been there for a few days.

“We believe the man was hit by a car while trying to cross the road. We found a wing mirror of a vehicle next to him. His body was badly decomposed, the heat may have contributed to it. He was still in his work clothes and his damaged cell phone was lying next to him. He may have been there for a few days, judging by the decomposition. The scene was handed over to the police,” he said.

It’s believed the incident may be a hit-and-run as there was no case registered at the Greenwood Park SAPS.
