5 top tips for Black Friday shopping
Want to make the most of the Black Friday specials? We have a plan.
BLACK Friday is almost upon us. Retail giants have released their specials and shoppers are gearing up for a mammoth workout, dashing from aisle to aisle to grab what they can without a screaming match or cat fight. Black Friday is an American tradition, usually taking place between Thanksgiving (25 November) and Cyber Monday (28 November).
We’ve come up with tips to help you survive Black Friday:
- Know your trolley
The secret here is to plan. Know what you want before you set foot in the shop. - Map your route
Visit the shop a day before and familiarise yourself with the layout of the shop and know which aisle stocks what. - Tag team
Don’t go alone. While you’re shopping, have someone there to hold the trolley in case other shoppers decide to shop out of your trolley. - No kids allowed
It’s not advisable to take your kids. With the shops being full and so many people around, your little people are safer at home. - Stick to your budget
If you’re planning to spend only R3 000, then only spend R3 000.
