Armed men storm business premises

The men also robbed a security guard of various cell phones in the incident.

FOUR men, armed with handguns stormed a business premises in Sea Cow Lake on Sunday. The incident occurred at about 5.20am on Peters Road in Sea Cow Lake, a day after a business owner was held at gunpoint in Avoca.  Blue Security operations manager, Brian Jackson said armed robbers targeted businesses in various other areas as well, fleeing with cash, cellphones and jewellery.

“In this robbery, four armed men held up a security guard and then forced open the front door to gain entry into the business premises. They robbed the security guard of several cell phones and a remote panic button and stole a computer screen from the premises,” he said.

Greenwood Park SAPS attended the scene of the crime.

Jackson advised business owners and staff to be vigilant and to report any suspicious vehicles or individuals lurking near their premises.
