Police investigate UZKN cafeteria blaze
The fire was extinguished by University Risk Management Services.
POLICE are investigating a fire which broke out at a cafeteria in UKZN on Monday night. Officers say it’s unclear what sparked the blaze – saying there had been no visible protests on scene. The academic programme at some of the university’s campuses has been suspended for the past two weeks following protests. The protests centered around the possible increase in tuition fees for 2017.
According to our sister paper Berea Mail the fire broke out outside a seating area of a coffee shop at the Howard College campus around 9pm last night. The fire was extinguished by University Risk Management Services.
