Thieves ‘fish’ laptop from Glenhills home

The opportunistic criminals are believed to have used a broom or pole to snatch the laptop from the broken window.

AUTHORITIES have once again warned the community to keep their valuables safe and secured, this after a laptop was ‘fished’ out of a Glenhills home yesterday afternoon.

According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, it is believed the suspects used a pole or broom to steal the electronic device from a home on Hydrangea Place, after they smashed open the window.

“What we see often is opportunistic criminals taking advantage of laptops being left in plain sight,” he said.

Van Reenen urged the community to store their devices when they are not in use.
