Mt Edgecombe resident and former SABC CEO missing

He was last seen at his Hillhead Drive home on Friday night.

FORMER South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Chief Executive Officer, Solly Mokoetle, has gone missing. He was last seen at his Mt Edgecombe home on Hillhead Drive on Friday.

A case of missing persons has been opened by his wife, Zola Mthuli, at the Phoenix police station. It’s understood the 59-year-old father of four, walked out of his home on Friday night at about 10pm in his pajamas to meet someone at the gate, but never returned.

Mokoetle
Minister of communications, Faith Muthambi, has expressed her concern and shock at news of the disappearance of Mokoetle, who is employed by the department as head of the Broadcasting Digital Migration Project Management Office.

Muthambi has called upon anyone who may have seen Mokoetle or know of his whereabouts to contact the police.
