Somizi is coming to uShaka, get ready
This entertainer has been in the business for almost 30 years, catch him in Durban next month.
ON Saturday, 14 May the effervescent Idols SA judge Somizi will be at uShaka Marine World’s Wet ‘n Wild.
A colourful veteran of SA showbiz, Somizi has been in the entertainment business for almost 30 years. At 13, he starred in the Broadway musical Sarafina, travelling the world for five years. His love for choreography began with the movie Sarafina and continued with work on Miss South Africa from 1998 – 2008, the Fifa World Cup 2010 opening and closing ceremonies and the Afcon 2013 opening and closing ceremonies, amongst others.
He’s made his mark on a number of television channels, embraced the world of comedy and even released two albums which went on to win a Metro FM award and a Chanel O music video award. The pool party is set to kick off at 5.30pm at Wet ‘n Wild and will open with Gagasi 99.5 FM’s DJ Lab and Mario, followed by DJ Nash as well as headline acts DJ Shimza and Heavy K.
