A MAN has been left shaken after three armed men hijacked him in Effingham Heights last night. The man found himself staring down the barrel of a gun at his Belmont Road home at around 8am. According to W/O Leon Audh, spokesman for the Greenwood Park SAPS, the victim was accosted while trying to open his garage door.
“As he was opening the garage door, a black Audi A4 with four occupants was parked behind his vehicle and one of the occupants immediately jumped out of the car and approached him, threateningly with a firearm,” said Audh.
Two of the other hijackers quickly joined the first gunman, pointing their weapons at the victim as they demanded the keys to his car – a silver Chevrolet Aveo.
“After searching the victim, the perpetrators jumped into his car and drove off,” he said.
No arrests have been made.
