WITH the festive season finally upon us, the Northglen News caught up with a few of the holiday makers and locals on the uMhlanga Beach to find out what they loved and loathed about the holiday season.
Our six candidates were posed three questions:
1. What do you love most about the festive season?
2. What is the worst part about Christmas and the holidays?
3. If you could make an ultimate Christmas wish, what would is be?

1. Definitely spending time with family and friends. Oh, and the food!
2. Inflated prices. Everything is ridiculously expensive this time of the year.
3. To go on an overseas trip.
Kaylee Vos (17)
1. You get together with friends family and it is all about love, joy and giving.
2. Doing the dishes after Christmas dinner.
3. To travel the world and cure cancer.

1. Getting together with friends and family.
2. People are always expecting you to give a big present, but that is not what my family believe Christmas is all about.
3. Touring the world with a friend.

1. Relaxing and having friends over.
2. The shopping centres get so packed and busy.
3. Yes, it would be awesome to relax on a tropical island somewhere.

1. You get to relax after working hard through the year, and you get to spend time with family and friends.
2. Things get so busy and dangerous. You have to take extra precautions against criminals.
3. To relax on a remote island.
